This is your chance to purchase a very smart schoolmaster. The 11 year old son of Wolkentanzer is comfortably working at Inter1 level having been professionally produced for the last 4 years. He has a wonderful character and performs all his work with ease, making him a great choice for an amateur wanting to learn all dressage moves or a young rider. He is also suitable for a more advanced rider wanting a partner to get out on and continue his success in the arena at the higher levels.
He has very straight, uphill flying changes and finds the sequence changes very easy and has also mastered the 1-tempi changes. His lateral work is performed at great ease with the smallest aids showing good reach and positioning in this work. He has lots of ability for the collection and lengthening of the gaits. He keeps very good rhythm and swing in his paces, his highlight being his medium trot He has also started with some half steps showing good progression. He has a big walk with plenty of over track and purpose and he is always awarded high marks for this in the competition arena.
His sire is wolkentanzer, son of Wolkenstein II: one of the best sons of Weltmeyer. His famous sire, in combination with a prepotent dam line, has produced a stallion whose own performance record speaks for itself. Faultless character, extraordinary willingness to perform, tremendous presence and outstanding dressage and jumping ability are abundant. The young Wolkenstein II is not only a great performer, he also passes on his outstanding talent for dressage and his tremendous presence to his offspring: In 1997 six sons out of his first crop were licensed in Verden, his son Welser became Reserve Champion. In 1998 his son Waterford became Champion Stallion at the licensing in Verden. Wolkenstein II has produced 22 licensed sons of the highest quality. His grandsire Weltmeyer was legendary and he is known to have almost single-handedly reshaped the Hanoverian breed, he was known for passing on expression and movement quality.
His dam Gennavieve has Argentan on the mother line who was one of the most important founding sires of the modern Hannoverian. Argentan was Reserve Champion of his stallion licensing in 1969, and the following year, was 4th out of 15 candidates in the performance test. In 1994 he was crowned Hannoverian Stallion of the Year as a result of his extraordinary success as a sire. Argentan was the sire of 805 competition horses. His broodmares in particular were highly regarded and included three Champion German Riding Horse mares. His dam was regarded as a mare with a beautiful eye and kind character that prevailed through her foals; producing intelligent, hard workers with power, grace and sensitivity.
He is a schoolmaster in every way and is very willing to please. He is brilliant to handle, and has got the quality to go all the way. He is good in a trailer and horsebox, good to shoe, clip, box and jumps. He also hacks well alone or in company and jumps for fun.
